Yoursite.whatever…where “whatever” is truly “whatever” you were approved to register. That’s the new revolution in domaining, thanks to a final vote from ICANN. Now, for the low (that’s sarcasm) price of just $185,000 + an annual upkeep fee of $25,000, you can own your very own domain name suffix.
It’s not that simple – don’t think you can simply get “.buy” or “.go” by shelling out the cash for it. Your request will have to go through rigorous approval by ICANN itself. If you prove to be “worthy enough” to own that domain suffix, it’s yours.
Expect big business to snatch up their own names, their brand names, and even attempt to get all of the goodies (i.e., .cars, .trucks, etc.)
